Texas House Passes HB 5 – Jobs & Security Act

On Friday, May 5, the Texas House passed HB 5, The Texas Jobs & Security Act, on third reading by a vote of 120-24. Texas Chemical Council President and CEO Hector Rivero issued the following statement on House passage of HB 5: 

“We applaud the Texas House for the passage of HB 5, The Texas Jobs & Security Act, by Representative Todd Hunter (R-Corpus Christi). Passage of this bill is a significant step forward in improving the lives of Texans by promoting economic growth, supporting technological and manufacturing independence, and enhancing the quality of education for our children.
